Happy 4th of July!!

Nevaeh was petrified of the fireworks at first and hid in the storage bench we have in the back yard. Then she started to like them and Kyan started to scream and cry everytime they went off!! He ended up inside for the rest of the night crying till we put him to bed.

Baptism

Kyan and Nevaeh were baptised today at our church. My sister, her kids and my mom came down from Virginia to help us celebrate.

Weight loss update!!

I hadn't posted on here in a long time. I just wanted to update my weight loss numbers. I am up to 37 lbs lost!!! Yeah for me!

Elmo

So anyone who knows Kyan, knows that the child LOVES Elmo! Lately that is all he talks about. I asked him the other day what my name was and he told me "Elmo"!! So we decided to take him to see Elmo when he came to town this weekend. It didn't go as well as expected. The show was during nap time and Kyan ending up missing the last half of the show. Trey had to take him to the car for a nap. Which he feel asleep within seconds of getting into the car.

First Day of School

Nevaeh started her 2nd year at preschool today. I can't believe that this time next year she will be starting kindergarten!!! My how time flies.

I lost

another 2 lbs. So the running total is 31.6!!!!! YEAH ME!

Another Scrapbook Page

Here is another scrapbook page I did recently. I wasn't feeling it when I orginally did it. So I left it on my desk to see if I could come up with something better. Now I think it came out much better.

about the carrier testing. I will try to update when I hear some. Not much else going on here. I am joining Weight Watchers on Thursday. I just can't seem to lose anymore weight. :( Wish me luck!

Carrier Testing

Hopefully this week we find out how Kyan got Hemophilia. We are going in for carrier testing to see if I am a carrier or if it was spontaneous mutation when I was pregnant with him. I think this is a good test to have since there are so many girls in the family that might be affected, if I am a carrier.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Things have been really hectic for me lately. I don't get much time on the computer anymore unless it is doing work. We did actually get to go out on a date without the kids Saturday to Wild Wings (Trey's favorite) and saw I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. It was a cute movie, a little corny in a few spots. Kyan's therapy schedule has been keeping me pretty busy. We switched to a new location for physical therapy and he has been doing really well there. There has been talk of changing him to occupational therapy, which I don't know much about, instead of PT. Well I better run. I got lots to do!

Well...

it looks like Kyan may be autistic. We are being referred to the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs to their CARE team. The actual assessment probably won't take place till some time in September or October because the are so backed up. I am not sure what to think yet. I guess I am waiting to the "official" diagnosis to take place with people more familiar with autism.

Nevaeh is back from Virginia. I missed her terribly!! It is soooooo good to have her home!! I got my scanner hooked up. I am trying to figure out how to use it. So hopefully soon, I can post some of my scrapbook pages on a slide show. (time permitting!!)

More Updates

Next Wednesday is Kyan's autism assessment by the county. We will see how that goes. He has been making good progress with therapy. He is "trying" to talk a little bit more. But he has also had a lot of looooong tantrums as well.

Nevaeh is in Virginia with my sister till July 15th. :( I miss her terribly!!! This is the first time I have been away from her other than the times with Kyan in the hospital.

Not much else is going on. I am getting my Mustek scanner this week!! Trey finally bought it for me as a late mother's day/anniversary present. I am SOO excited to try it out.

Updates

I haven't posted in a while. So much has been going on. My sister and her kids are coming next week!!! I am down another 2 lbs. So the total now is 25 lbs lost. Kyan has started speech therapy, along with his physical therapy and early intervention therapy. Now his early intervention therapist thinks he may be autistic. I am not sure how I feel about this. She said that she isn't sure if he was autistic but he is showing some signs of it. She wants a specialist from the county to come out and assess him. I don't have any Friday Five pictures to post today. More later.........
